Vol. 532 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John McGuinness

Question:

308 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons for the delay in making an early appointment for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny at Ardkeen Hospital, Waterford. [7438/01]

The Deputy will appreciate that the scheduling of hospital appointments is a matter for the relevant hospital concerned based upon clinical priority. I have, therefore, asked the chief executive officer at the South Eastern Health Board, which has responsibility for the provision of hospital services in the case to which the Deputy is referring, to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
