Vol. 532 No. 4

Written Answers. - Medical Cards.

John McGuinness

Question:

340 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if the South Eastern Health Board will issue a medical card to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [7644/01]

The granting of a medical card is, by legislation, the responsibility of the chief executive officer of the relevant health board. Accordingly, the chief executive of the South Eastern Health Board has been asked to have this case examined, as a matter of urgency, and to report directly to the Deputy.
