342 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the total number of prosecutions taken by his Department for breaches of radiological protection legislation in 2000 and, to date; the number of those prosecutions that were successful; and the names of the companies that were successfully prosecuted. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

The prosecution of companies and organisations for breaches of radiological protection legislation is the responsibility of the Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland. The chief executive officer of the institute has been asked to forward the information sought directly to the Deputy.
