361 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will give an assurance that the report of the expert review group on radiotherapy services will be completed by 1 July 2001; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7796/01]
As I have previously advised the Deputy – Question No. 248, col. No. 1374 of Dáil Debates on 20 February 2001 – the expert review group have indicated that they anticipate that their work will be completed in a number of months. Because of the importance and the complexity of the work, it is not possible to give an exact date for completion but I have been assured that the group is working as expeditiously as possible and that there is no undue delay in the work of the group. I am looking forward to receiving the report, which I will consider in due course.
