407 Mr. Foley asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will list, in respect of County Kerry for each of the years 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000, the grants, projects or schemes funded by his Department, or any agency under the aegis of his Department; the receiving body or organisation; and the amount allocated in each instance. Minister for the Environment and Local Government (Mr. Dempsey):

I am arranging to have information on funding for local authorities in respect of different programmes administered by my Department at central level compiled and forwarded to the Oireachtas Library. I will forward a copy to the Deputy when this is available.

Compilation of information in relation to the many projects funded by my Department would involve a disproportionate amount of time and work. The approval of grants or projects by bodies under the aegis of my Department is a matter for the bodies concerned.
