539 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the position in relation to a land registry application by persons (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7763/01]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue):

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing refers to an application for a land certificate which was lodged on the 24 November 2000.

The Land Registry has informed me that this application was rejected on 26 January 2001 and that notification of, and grounds for, rejection issued to the lodging solicitors on the same date.
