Seán Ryan

Question:

107 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Taoiseach the total number of employers at the end of 2000; and the increase in the number of employers since 1995. [8063/01]

The latest results from the quarterly national household survey show that there were an estimated 101,100 self-employed persons with paid employees in the fourth quarter of 2000. This compares with a figure of 73,500 in the April 1995 labour force survey.
