Question:

113 Mr. Finucane asked the Taoiseach the expenditure and volume of chickens, chicken portions and turkeys imported during the year 2000; the totals and value for each of these imported from European Union countries; the quantities and value of the imports from non-EU countries, specifying the locations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information requested by the Deputy is given in the tables below. Table 1 identifies chicken imports in the period January-November 2000 and Table 2 gives the corresponding data for 1999. Table 3 identifies turkey imports in the period January-November 2000 and Table 4 gives the corresponding data for 1999. November 2000 is the latest month for which information is available.
