Vol. 533 No. 1

Written Answers. - Medical Cards.

John McGuinness

Question:

107 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will expedite for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow an application for a medical card. [8304/01]

The granting of a medical card is, by legislation, a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board. Accordingly, the chief executive officer of the South Eastern Health Board has been asked to have this case examined as a matter of urgency and to report directly to the Deputy.
