Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Clune – the need to address the anomalies in Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh, Bishopstown, whereby the boys school is classified as disadvantaged and the girls school is not; (2) Deputy Naughten – the need for the Minister for Health and Children to extend the scope of his announcement regarding batch 3741 Trivax vaccine to cover other batches of the vaccine which have given rise to the same level of concern regarding their toxicity; (3) Deputy Ring – the need to sanction funding for the extension to St. Colmcille's national school, Westport, County Mayo; (4) Deputy Neville – the introduction of a non-means-tested carer's payment; (5) Deputy Wall – the present position on the application in relation to the amalgamation of Scoil Eoin and Scoil Mhuire secondary schools in Athy, County Kildare; (6) Deputy Deenihan – the need to provide a new Garda station at Castleisland, County Kerry; (7) Deputy Connaughton – the need to identify payments to farmers, under various schemes, which could be speeded up in order to help farm families to cope with the economic repercussions of foot and mouth restrictions; (8) Deputy Creed – the need for the Minister for Education and Science to reconsider his decision to appeal the Jamie Sinnott case to the Supreme Court; (9) Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin – the need for the Government to act without further delay to implement the recommendations of the Victims Commission's report entitled, A Place and a Name; (10) Deputies Shortall, O'Sullivan and Upton – the need for the Minister for Education and Science to correct the record of the Dáil in respect of his recent statements on the Sinnott case and to withdraw his appeals to the Supreme Court; (11) Deputy Coveney – the need to extend supports to satellite towns outside Cork city under the local drugs task force action plan and (12) Deputy Sargent – the issue of the inadequate construction of crash barriers on our roads and the fact that Ireland is in contravention of EU standard EN 1317 in this regard.

The matters raised by Deputies Connaughton, Naughten, Deenihan and Ó Caoláin have been selected for discussion.
