Vol. 533 No. 1

Business of Dáil.

Before we come to the Order of Business, I undertook to report to the House on the prolonged ringing of the division bells for the vote at 6.53 p.m. last evening. The bells continued to ring beyond the required six minutes due to an oversight, which is very much regretted. However, the bells cannot be heard in the Chamber and now action is being taken to augment the sound of the bells within the Chamber. This will prevent any recurrence. It is sincerely regretted that some Members were locked outside the Chamber and, consequently, were unable to vote.
