60 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if he will implement the recommendations of the report of the task force on training and employment in the seafood industry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8130/01]
I welcome the task force's report which I regard as important and relevant to the seafood sector at the present time.
The task force has reported and made recommendations on a wide range of issues which fall within the functional areas of a number of Government Departments and agencies. The report is being circulated to the relevant Departments and agencies and I anticipate that the various recommendations will be studied and examined most carefully in the period immediately ahead. The question of implementing the recommendations will, therefore, be decided in the context of such examinations.
