66 Mr. Hogan asked the Taoiseach the names of all consultancy companies that have carried out work for his Department since June 1997; the names of any subsidiary company or agency under their remit; the work or study involved in each case; the amount paid in respect of the work done; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8281/01]

A schedule for the information of the Deputy which contains details of all con sultancies and public relations firms employed by my Department and bodies under the aegis of my Department since June 1997 follows. In some cases, the engagements are ongoing. The cost is identified in each case where payments have been made.

It has not been possible in the time available to compile the details sought by the Deputy. The information sought is being compiled in my Department. I will communicate separately with the Deputy and forward the information sought immediately upon completion.

Details of subsidiaries of all consultancy companies that have carried out work are not held in the normal conduct of business by my Department. Information in relation to all companies registered in Ireland, including their subsidiaries, is available from the Companies Registration Office.
