Vol. 533 No. 1

Written Answers. - Foreshore Licences.

Ivor Callely

Question:

75 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if his attention has been drawn to a proposal for a marine lake at Clontarf Promenade, Dublin Bay, Clontarf, Dublin 3; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7734/01]

The Foreshore Acts, 1933 to 1998, require that before the commencement of any works on the foreshore a licence, lease or permission must be obtained from me. No application under the foreshore Acts has been made for such a development. It would be most helpful if the Deputy would forward any information he may have on this proposal to the coastal zone administration division of my Department.
