Vol. 533 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Willie Penrose

Question:

101 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will take steps to ensure an appointment for orthopaedic assessment is made immediately for a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8298/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in County Westmeath rests with the Midland Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the issue raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
