Vol. 533 No. 3

Order of Business. - Prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation Bill, 2001: First Stage.

I move: "That leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to prohibit female genital mutilation."

Is the Bill opposed?

As this is a Private Members' Bill it must, under Standing Orders, be taken in Private Members' time. Deputy McManus should therefore move that the Second Stage be taken in Private Members' time.

I move: "That Second Stage be taken in Private Members' time."

Question put and agreed to.
