Vol. 533 No. 5

Written Answers. - Health Boards.

Donal Carey

Question:

119 Mr. D. Carey asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the Mid-Western Health Board executive is not amenable to meetings with local authorities, for example, Ennis Urban District Council (details supplied); and if he will request the Mid-Western Health Board to review its position. [9431/01]

I have requested further information from the Mid-Western Health Board in relation to the matter referred to by the Deputy. However, the Mid-Western Health Board is a corporate statutory agency and is responsible for determining its own modus operandi other than where prescribed under the various Health Acts and related regulations.
