Vol. 533 No. 5

Written Answers. - Hospital Doctors.

Bernard Allen

Question:

106 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he is concerned with the recent decision by the Institute of Orthopaedic Surgery to suspend short-listing for the next intake of non-EU doctors to its visiting senior specialist registrar training programme in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. [9365/01]

I have asked officials in my Department to consult with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland on this issue. I will write to the Deputy with an account of the situation as soon as possible.
