Vol. 533 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Question:

168 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive a REP scheme payment. [9690/01]

The processing of an application by the person named for a sixth-year transitional payment was delayed because his file was with the National REPS Appeals Committee, which was considering an appeal against a penalty on his fifth-year payment imposed following a compliance inspection. The appeal was successful and on 30 March he was paid the amount that had been withheld from his fifth-year payment. The file has now been returned to the FDS office and his sixth-year application will be processed quickly.
