265 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will intervene on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Sligo and have him immediately called for his treatment in Beaumont Hospital, and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9840/01]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services for residents of County Sligo rests with the North Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
