Question:

370 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of gardaí stationed at Blanchardstown Garda station, Blackrock Garda station, Cabra Garda station, Kilkenny Garda station and Wexford Garda station; and the number of people served by each station. [9567/01]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue):

I am informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of personnel and resources to individual areas, that the manpower strength – all ranks – of each of these stations as at 1 March 2001 is as follows:

Blackrock (DMA)	73
Cabra	80
Kilkenny	63
Wexford	68

I am further informed by the Garda authorities that as county and local authority boundaries do not correlate to Garda boundaries, population figures are not available for areas policed by Garda stations.
