441 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received correspondence regarding resource teaching hours and supports for a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if, in accordance therewith, he will ensure that the necessary supports either by means of resource teaching hours and home tuition will be put in place for this person; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

My Department has recently received correspondence regarding resource hours and supports for the person named by the Deputy.

The matter has been referred to the psychological service for consideration. As soon as their report has been received and considered, my Department will notify the school authorities and the Deputy of the outcome.
