I propose to take Questions Nos. 451 and 454 together.
The request to sanction an additional youth worker post in respect of the special project for youth referred to by the Deputies was considered by my Department in 2000 but it was not found possible to accede to the request for funding then, having regard to the large number of applications received for the provision of funding for such projects.
My Department is giving consideration to this request and to other applications made for youth work funding in 2001, having regard to available financial resources.
