128 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Finance when he will allocate the required moneys, estimated at £8.7 million by the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Public Enterprise and Transport, for the management of the River Shannon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10185/01]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 191 on 20 February last. In view of the complexities involved it is necessary that the Oireachtas joint committee revisit this matter in its final report. I look forward to seeing the committee's final report.
