Vol. 534 No. 1

Written Answers. - State Board Members.

Derek McDowell

Question:

129 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Finance if he has initiated a review of the payments to members of State boards and other such bodies; and, if so when is it likely to be concluded. [10098/01]

As indicated to the Deputy on 13 February 2001, I am currently reviewing the level of fees for the non-executive chairpersons and directors of the boards of State bodies. This review is at an advanced stage and I expect it to be completed in the near future. On completion of this review it is my intention to bring proposals to Government.
