Vol. 534 No. 1

Written Answers. - National Heritage Plan.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

186 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the position regarding the national heritage plan; when she expects to be in a position to publish the plan; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10095/01]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 29 on 21 February 2001. At that time I stated that I expected to bring the national heritage plan to Government before the end of March. However, because of a prioritisation of work to facilitate the advancement of two important pieces of heritage legislation in my Department, I do not now expect to be in a position to publish the plan until later this year.
