Vol. 534 No. 1

Written Answers. - General Practitioner Services.

Paul Bradford

Question:

65 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Health and Children his response to a recent survey which showed that only one in three general practitioner practices in the South Western Area Health Board of the Eastern Regional Health Authority is equipped to the standards laid down by the Office for Health Gain. [9972/01]

I have raised this matter with the Eastern Regional Health Authority as the South Western Area Health Board is one of their constituent areas boards. The ERHA has advised that the issue is currently being addressed within the board. Pending the full consideration of the matter at board level, it is not possible to comment further at this time. However, I wish to assure the Deputy that I have informed the ERHA that I want a full report on the matter when the issue has been fully investigated and I will inform the Deputy of the outcome.
