Vol. 534 No. 4

Written Answers - Responses to Queries.

Question:

144 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that all queries from Deputy Upton passed on by him to the Eastern Regional Health Authority are responded to as soon as possible. [11023/01]

I am advised that the Eastern Regional Health Authority's policy is to answer all queries whether passed on by me or directly from public representatives as soon as possible. The ERHA customer service policy is to issue a response, whether interim or otherwise, within 20 days. I have requested my Department's communication manager to contact the Deputy to examine any particular difficulty experienced by her in relation to responses to queries from the ERHA. My understanding is that this contact has already occurred and further detail is to be supplied to him by the Deputy.
