234 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science the plans he has to create permanent teaching posts at the education unit in Castlerea Prison in view of the fact the staffing level is equivalent to ten wholetime positions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10956/01]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that my Department has now authorised the relevant vocational education committee to fill two additional posts on a permanent wholetime basis.
