Vol. 534 No. 4

Written Answers - Schools Refurbishment.

Austin Currie

Question:

240 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Education and Science the action he intends to remedy the deplorable conditions for children and staff at St. Andrew's primary school, Lucan, County Dublin (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11091/01]

My Department has received an application from the management authorities of St. Andrew's primary school, Lucan, County Dublin for additional accommodation.

In view of the large number of school building projects being dealt with by my Department's building unit at present, it is not possible at this point to provide a timescale as to when these facilities will be provided.

The matter will be kept under review.
