Question:

75 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the progress made to date in regard to restoration work at the site of the Mullaghmore Visitors Centre and car park; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10693/01]

I understand from the Office of Public Works, which is acting as my Department's agent in this matter, that as of 4 April 2001 the following progress had been made towards reinstating the site: field containing two basement areas – 95% complete; main car park, same side of road – 60% complete; service road – 30% complete; removal of main sewage works – 100% complete; reinstatement of road boundary between the main entrance and the junction of the Green Road and the Crag Road – 95% complete; telecom ducts and ESB cables have been removed from the site to the junction of the Crag Road and the Green Road; overflow car park – 20% complete; equipment building – 100% complete; and sewage treatment polishing system – 10% complete.
