85 Mr. Flanagan asked the Taoiseach the total amount of money paid by his Department, including payment in respect of Ministers of State, in respect of public relations consultancy work undertaken by private sector public relations consultancy firms each year for the years 1998, 1999 and 2000. The following schedule contains details of all public relations firms employed by my Department and bodies under the aegis of my Department for the years 1998, 1999 and 2000. The cost is identified in each case where payments have been made.

My Department did not directly engage any private public relations consultancy firms to undertake public relations consultancy work in any of the years 1998, 1999, 2000.

Moneys have, however, been expended in respect of public relations by two of the offices under the aegis of my Department as follows:
