Question:

110 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Defence the amount of money paid by his Department, including payment in respect of Ministers of State, in respect of public relations consultancy work undertaken by private sector public relations consultancy firms each year for the years 1998, 1999 and 2000. [10888/01]

A total of £23,084 has been expended by my Department in the years 1998, 1999 and 2000 in promoting the work of Civil Defence.

111 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the amount of money paid by his Department, including payment in respect of Ministers of State, in respect of public relations consultancy work undertaken by private sector public relations consultancy firms each year for the years 1998, 1999 and 2000. [10889/01]

No expenditure in respect of public relations consultancies was incurred in relation to myself or the Ministers of State. Details of expenditure incurred by my Department in respect of public relations consultancies and the purpose of same for the years 1998, 1999 and 2000 are detailed below. Expenditure details for PR consultancies, and the purpose of same for the years 1995, 1996 and 1997 are also provided.
