Written Answers - Milk Quota.

Seymour Crawford

Question:

102 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he has made progress in agreeing a partnership scheme for milk quota farmers in order that young people might have some opportunity to become involved in dairy farming; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11288/01]

I have made provision for partnerships involving milk producers in the new milk quota regulations. The detailed provisions are being finalised in my Department having regard to the legal framework within which they will operate.
