Vol. 536 No. 3

Written Answers - Mobility Allowance.

John McGuinness

Question:

187 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons the mobility allowance was not granted to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if this person's case can be reviewed as a matter of urgency. [14186/01]

The assessment of entitlement to and payment of the mobility allowance in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, South-Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the query and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
