Vol. 536 No. 3

Written Answers - Schools Building Projects.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

238 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Education and Science when a design team will be appointed for the proposed building project at a school (details supplied) in County Donegal. [14154/01]

In view of the large number of school building projects being dealt with by my Department at present, it is not possible to give any indication as to when a proposed project at the school referred to by the Deputy will proceed to architectural planning.

Deirdre Clune

Question:

239 Ms Clune asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 190 of 26 October 2000, he has progressed his plan to provide a school in an area (details supplied) in County Cork. [14155/01]

The examination by my Department's planning section of the primary educational requirements of the area referred to by the Deputy is at an advanced stage. However, some further research is required before a final decision can be made on the matter.

I have asked my officials to finalise this examination as speedily as possible and to inform the relevant parties of the outcome.
