Question:

224 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation his Department's policy on family-friendly work options; if he will report on which of the following are available to staff: flexitime; job sharing; job splitting; part-time work; term-time work; alternative work arrangements; career breaks; and the number of staff who are currently availing of each of these options. [15249/01]

Details of the family-friendly work options available to staff in my Department and the number of staff availing of those arrangements are set out below:

Two staff will avail of this scheme on its commencement in late June 2001

My Department is in the process of developing a human resources strategy which will appropriately reflect the Government's commitment to family-friendly policies consistent with the achievement of the Department's strategic objectives.
