196 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Education and Science when architects will visit the Kilnadeema school, Kilnadeema, Loughrea, County Galway; and if he will make statement on the matter. [15358/01]

My Department is currently assessing the most efficient and cost effective way of providing appropriate long-term accommodation at Kilnadeema national school, Loughrea, County Galway. It is not possible at this stage to give any indication of the timetable for the provision of the accommodation. The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.

Question:

197 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress which he has made on the provision of an extension to Nano Nagle special school, Listowel, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15359/01]

My Department is considering the most efficient and cost effective way of providing improved accommodation at this school. In view of the large number of school building projects currently being processed by my Department, it is not possible at this point to give any indication as to the timetable for the provision of the facilities. The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
