Seymour Crawford

Question:

203 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Education and Science when funding will be provided to the management of Rockcorry Church of Ireland school; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that they were promised the funding in September 2000 and that one of the teachers is teaching in an old room totally unsuitable for the purpose for which it is used; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15429/01]

A project to refurbish Rockcorry Church of Ireland school is currently at tender stage. My Department will consider the matter further when a tender report is received from the school's consultant architect.

My Department has also approved the provision of temporary accommodation while the refurbishment works are under way.

The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
