Vol. 537 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John Perry

Question:

149 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will intervene on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Sligo and have him immediately called for his treatment in Beaumont Hospital in view of his serious medical condition; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16152/01]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Sligo is, in this instance, the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply to the Deputy directly.
