126 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the details of the rural strand of the RAPID programme known as CLAR; and the assistance which will be made available to rural areas wishing to participate in the scheme. [16148/01]

The RAPID programme is essentially concerned with the priority investment of funds provided under the national development plan in the disadvantaged areas selected. I hope to make an announcement on the areas selected in the coming weeks.
