Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Owen – the provision of a new school building for Malahide community school as pupils will have to be refused entry next year; (2) Deputy Farrelly – the need for funding for a new water scheme for Drumconrath, County Meath; (3) Deputy Fleming – the need for increased investment in railway lines and rolling stock for services between Dublin and the large provincial towns, with particular reference to Portlaoise; (4) Deputy Penrose – the need for an early conclusion to the discussions between the Department of the Environment and Local Government and IFA on the commitment given in the PPF in regard to reform of arrangements for the compulsory acquisition of land; (5) Deputy Kenny – the need to process a research and development grant for the Volex computer terminal plant in Castlebar, County Mayo, which has put 100 workers on short-term work.

The matters raised by Deputies Kenny, Fleming, Owen and Farrelly have been selected for discussion.
