Question:56 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation when he intends to meet the IRFU regarding stadium and campus Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16195/01]
Written Answers. - National Sports Stadium.
Together with the Taoiseach and the Minister for Finance, I met a senior delegation from the IRFU on 23 May last. The IRFU made a presentation to us on the development of the game of rugby in Ireland.
At the meeting the IRFU confirmed its support for the sports campus Ireland project. Campus and Stadium Ireland Development Limited is in discussions with the IRFU with regard to its requirements at sports campus Ireland and stadium Ireland. It is envisaged that these discussions will lead to a legal agreement on the usage of the facilities.
