204 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will receive a farm retirement pension; the reason for the delays; if the pension will be backdated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16506/01]
The application for the person named was received in my Department on 2 February 2001.
When the application was examined a number of defects were found in the supporting documentation. On 31 May 2001 my Department wrote to the applicant setting out the deficiencies. Discussions have since taken place between officials and the applicant and his planner with a view to correcting the defects.
