Question:216 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive a cattle headage payment for 1999. [16641/01]
The person named furnished an incomplete 1999 area aid application in that he did not include maps for all the land he was claiming, nor did he provide the required proof of entitlement for the commonage claimed.
He was written to on a number of occasions. No response was received from him until earlier this year when a representative of the herd owner contacted the area aid unit. All outstanding problems with this application, which were quite complex, have now been resolved.
The 1999 area aid application for the person named has now been processed with no outstanding errors. Payment of his entitlement under the 1999 cattle headage scheme, amounting to £84.00, has now issued to him, as has his entitlement of £140.23 under the 1999 suckler cow premium scheme.
