My Department's inspectorate has been in contact with the authorities of the school in question and has sought additional information regarding the needs of the child to whom the Deputy refers. Once this information is received, a decision will be made regarding the school's request for special needs assistant support and my Department will be in touch with the school authorities on the matter.
