529 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department has received a request for a shared resource teacher between four national schools (details supplied) in County Cork; if these schools meet the criteria used by his Department to determine such allocations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An application has been received by my Department for the allocation of resource teaching support to the schools in question.

My Department's inspectorate is currently considering this application. Once the inspectorate has reported, my Department will be in contact with the authorities of the schools involved.
