Vol. 537 No. 5

Written Answers. - Departmental Funding.

Austin Deasy

Question:

537 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education and Science the function of the Waterford Educate Together National School; the grant aid which has been provided to the school to date; if he has received a further request for grant aid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16650/01]

The planning and building unit of my Department has received an application from Waterford Educate Together Association for recognition as a national school.

No grant-aid has been paid to the association to date. The payment of grant-aid to the proposed school is dependent on a successful outcome to the application for recognition. The application is under active consideration in my Department and a decision will issue shortly.
