Vol. 537 No. 5

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Brendan Howlin

Question:

555 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education and Science when the balance of money due for the acquisition of land for the new Gaelscoil in Wexford town will be paid; when he envisages construction work will begin on the new school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16739/01]

Until the legal details concerning the acquisition of the site in question have been finalised, it would not be appropriate for me to make any comment about the transaction.

Architectural planning for the provision of the new Gaelscoil is progressing. However, it is not possible at this point to say when construction will commence.
