Brendan Howlin

Question:

556 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education and Science if an application for appointment of a resource teacher has been received in his Department in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; if a decision will be made on such an application in the near future; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16740/01]

An application has been received by my Department for the allocation of resource teaching support for the child in question.

My Department's inspectorate is currently considering this application and is expected to report shortly. Once the inspectorate has reported, my Department will be in contact with the school authorities in relation to the matter.
